When I was a kid in the 50s there was a program on tv called the Million Dollar Movie. They would play the same movie every night for a week, if I remember right. I swear I watched Yankee Doodle Dandy every time they showed it! And for awhile it was on every year around July 4th. I loved that movie and at the time had a big crush on James Cagney. He started as a dancer and this film really showed his talents, and earned him his Oscar.
