Mike Malloy - Why So Many People Dislike Hillary Clinton

I understand why Donald Trump is so unpopular. He earned it the old-fashioned way, by being obnoxious, insulting and offensive. But why is Hillary Clinton so unpopular?

She is, at the moment, just as unpopular as Trump. In the last three major national polls she had unfavorability ratings in the same ballpark as Trump’s. In the Washington Post/ABC News poll, they are both at 57 percent disapproval.

In the New York Times/CBS News poll, 60 percent of respondents said Clinton does not share their values. Sixty-four percent said she is not honest or trustworthy. Clinton has plummeted so completely down to Trump’s level that she is now statistically tied with him in some of the presidential horse race polls.

got not one single response. Zero. Crickets. (which, to be fair, was exactly what I expected...)

So I'm asking you, The_Casual_Observer, directly. This is the text of the question I posted:

"So let me ask this, in all seriousness. What exactly is it about Hillary Clinton that makes her most breathless supporters so on fire to see her become President? And I mean something substantive, not the vague sense that she's "awesome" that seems to be the cornerstone of so many of her supporters' convictions.

Is it her trade policy? Because that sucks. Is it her foreign policy experience? Because that's nothing to be proud of either. Is it her stances on minimum wage and income inequality and gay rights? Because she came late to all those parties, too, and when she got there her reluctance was palpable. Is it because she's a woman? if that's the case, I can only conclude that they'd be equally happy with Carly Fiorina or Sarah Palin. Is it her pledge to "take on" Wall Street? Because that one's laughable on its face.

So please tell me, because I don't get it."

She's been attacked for 25 by repugs spewing vile talking points, and now we have Dems absorbing it either consciously or subconsciously, regurgitating the repugs' continual re-enforcement like Palov's dog.

That's why. We should be smarter than that, a lot smarter.

A truly hollow-headed jackass who never seems to get "it" no matter what he's writing about. Like a more moderate version of Bill Kristol but not as evil. Brooks is what makes elites comfortable, and he's a fawning turd to the upper upper upper class of society. I think he even wrote a book about character which is priceless. He's also a whore for the Weekly Standard which has never turned a profit and is simply agitprop for the neocons and other like-mined war mongers. What a seriously delusional country we have when the likes of David Brooks are invited on the TV to share his views. Now that he's on NPR, I can't listen to anything more than the music.
