They aren't jumping on Bernie's bandwagon. They live in the real world. Changes to the ACA will take time and a favorable Senate and close to that of the House. Bernie's supporters conveniently forget (or likely too young to remember) that HRC was given the task of universal healthcare over 20 years ago. In fact, she wasn't just given that task, she asked for it, knowing the beating she would take.

Just reiterating why we can't do things. I've heard no from others before...hmmm...what group might have said that?

The catch-- what does she mean by "get to"? What time-frame does she have in mind?

The only people who pay lobbyists to lobby for them are people who think they can make money by getting government to do, or NOT do something.

A single-payer national healthcare system would not make money for anybody, except ordinary citizens who would gain by betting better healthcare at a lower cost. But, under that system, there is no middle man to make money.

(But I suspect that wasn't the answer to your question. You're wanting to know why the Democratic Party, who CLAIM to want to improve things for ordinary citizens, are hiring consultants who lobby for groups that are working AGAINST ordinary citizens. That's a good question, and the answer is that a lot of Democratic Party insiders are LYING when they say they want to make things better for ordinary citizens.)

... Bingo. All of 'em. They see that money in the commons and by hook or by crook, they want to get their hands on it. That's cut-throat, cannibalistic capitalism in a nut-shell for you. The frenzy is now at fever-pitch level. Cut throat. It has killed the Republican Party and now it's got it's talons sunk in half of the Democratic Party.

Anyone who prefers a $900/month "premium" to a $300/month "tax" is just too fucking stupid to be running around outside without adult supervision.

It's the truth. I recognize it for the truth. The party has left me. I will not belong to a party that places the interests of the corporation above the general welfare of the people.

There is no reasonable defense of this.
