1. I would never tell someone not to hope. I know someone

was severely brain injured, had to learn to talk, walk, feed herself, everything.

That person was told, after two years, to get used to being in a wheelchair unable to do things, let alone the the career, the activities that were part of life before the accident. The wheelchair was the reality of life from that point on.

The reply: "The hell it is!"

To meet that person today, you would never have the slightest guess that traumatic brain injury had ever been a part to this person's life.

Hope, determination, and hard work can overcome incredible odds.
