We were so stupid to let that all happen. Things could have been so much better in the new millennium. Instead it all went to shit.

So clearly shows the difference between Republicans and Dems.
Repugs tell us to be scared, to accept what we are given by our betters and to never question authority.

Dems help us achieve goals, give us the tools to do it, remind us that we work best when we work together and give everyone a chance because they too are humans.
He would have been a great president.

The entire world would be a better place if he had been allowed to assume the presidency the SCOTUS stole from him.

This is what I have been trying to express and explain.

We can do great things and big things and make our country a better country. For democracy. For people.

But we need to have the will and the motivation and the determination to see this through.

Of course we'd be in so much better shape if he had fought for it in 2000 and not let Bush steal the election. I don't think we'd even have had 9/11. No Iraq War. So no ISIS.

But how put this statement together with his help in founding the DLC, the New Democrat, and The Third Way? Has be become radicalized?

And his running mate was Joe Lieberman!!

His cousin, Vidal, always said that except of the environment, he was not to be trusted as a real liberal.

Not sure what to make of him.

Al won the Presidency, and he stopped fighting. WTF? I have a feeling Al is a tool of the ruling class and he tipped his hand By giving up, let alone his VP choice. There's no difference between Bill, Al, GW, Obama, and Hillary. It's the same policies and free trade.

I will never forget that the newspaper consortium that investigated the outcome of the Florida presidential election that the Supreme Court awarded to Bush II was due to publish its report on 9/11/2001.

And when I looked at the results, Gore won by all the counting methods I would have used.

Had Gore been president from 2000 to 2008, our country would be in much better shape.

Thanks for posting this. It's a delight to have heard this great man speak these challenging words.

And he is oh, so, so right.

I believe we would have seen a much different result.

I feel like the reason he never ran again is because he simply wasn't allowed to say how he really felt about things. He had to fall in line with the DLC, pro corporation stance and I think after years of serving in the Senate and under Clinton he realized the 3rd way, was the wrong way.

I will change the title to include 2012. I didn't know until the replies came in. In some sense, I'm happy it was before this race and that it does not carry an endorsement.

the revolution has been going on in western countries since the end of ww2, no, since the trials of labour leaders in the 20's. At least. So encouraged to hear Gore's words from 4 years back. The movement just went underground, and like a good healthy field that needs to replenish its strength is going to come to fruition soon!!! oh, another metaphor.

The critical mass of disenfranchised people required to overthrow the current establishment that has evolved past usefulness is upon us!

Gore was speaking to this truth.
