1. The corporate favoritism

And other things that appear to be promoted by the Obama administration worry me. He's my President and I stand behind him, but sometimes I wonder if he didn't go center right after gaining the presidency.

3. We will never get a perfect

candidate because it has been proven nobody is perfect. I dislike the fact that politicians tell us what we want to hear to gain office and then do what is "pragmatic" as far as they are concerned. Values? Which values would that be? I have the values I have been taught and then I have values I have decided were true and correct. As a young person for example I was taught that gay rights were something evil that should never be tolerated. I have learned during life as I grew up that that value was definitely incorrect and have long disregarded that teaching. So that is why I ask, what values are you talking about, what do you consider better than most? I see you are a Bernie supporter. I have followed him for years, and have almost constantly agreed with his values. I can't say that about too many other politicians.

4. It may not have been

the best word. As you've demonstrated, it can be fluid. Priorities, ideals, things that we believe to have more importance than others. True, these also can change, but I cannot imagine mine changing as they have been very consistent throughout my life; I was fortunate to have liberal parents.

I also agree that no one is perfect, but as voters, we base our decisions on present circumstances. Money in politics is the concern by both republican and democratic voters. So, this "imperfection" by Obama in not considering the public mood is more glaring.

9. Possible scenario

Republican senators claim victory - strategy of threatening to not holding hearings was merely intended to force President Obama to name a more "reasonable" nominee. No more of those leftie/liberal/progressive on THEIR Supreme Court.
