23. The Clinton's DLC
Thu Mar 3, 2016, 10:55 PM
Mar 2016

Tonight I learned that the Clinton's DLC is partly funded by the Koch brothers and the Bradley Foundation, two of the worst rightwing families in America. It's all starting to make sense. The DLC has been driving the Democratic Party to the right since Bill Clinton was elected. Does everybody know this but me?

……have posted it several times.

But it deserves front and center attention.

Not only did the DLC move the party to the right, but their most important driving value and purpose became simply to win elections and power, rather than to actually fight for the welfare of the people. The method is to use titles and words that sound liberal, like HRC's think tank, Center for American Progress, while in fact, advocating for policies that slowly move us towards NAFTA or bank deregulation or prison reform that has had the effect of criminalizing poverty and the results of poverty.

I call it HRC's think tank, because its founder John Podesta, is her 2016 Campaign Manager and it has generated policy paper talking points for her.

We should look into who funds it.

The Congressional Black Caucus PAC that funds its Board (as opposed to its 46 non-board members) is also funded by corporations that would shock. Tobacco, Pharma, one who lobbies for The Corrections Corporation of America, Insurance, WalMart, Exxon, Navient (the student loan giant) et al. Lee Fang at the intercept has reported that some of its Board members in the past worked with some Republicans to chip away at Dodd-Frank financial reform.

Money and politics is lethal. It represent the real slide towards a Banana Republic. (No insult intended to poor countries.)

Where did you hear about the Koch's and the DLC?

a friend posted video of him walking down Mass Street and coming out of a barber shop where he got his hair cut. There is a rumor about him being around tonight, if I hear more I am jumping in my car and making the drive.

Thanks, I hated to miss this.

This is the feral tom that comes in twice a day to eat. I keep him separated from my house cats so they don't fight but something got him. Poor guy. It took all day, he will let me pet on him then he eats and then he Yeowls to get out. I can pet him but not much more. He almost got me but I got him in the carrier and he is now medicated and sleeping inside....for now. Thank you. He is his own cat but I love the little devil to pieces. Thanks for the link, this is a mighty fine rally.

This man is inspirational!!! There's NO WAY that Hillary could make my eyes well up - except if she manages to STEAL the nomination

She has NONE of the passion and conviction that Bernie does. She's simply for HILLARY!

To paraphrase Trump, after listening to her for five minutes you get a headache.

He was referring to Carly Fiorina of course; but it's think it applies in this case as well. And not because Hillary's voice is shrill (which it is) or her demeanor is strident (which it is); but because it hurts to hear somebody talk when you know they don't believe a word they themselves are saying.

Nobody thought Kennedy could win the nomination either - until the good people of West Virginia proved them wrong.
