Dem. Candidate Tim Canova v. Rep. Wasserman-Schultz 'Not Serving FL Residents but Corps & Wall St'

Last edited Fri Jan 15, 2016, 05:25 PM - Edit history (2)

Professor of Law and Public Finance, Tim Canova, a Democrat is challenging Rep. Wasserman-Schultz this year for US Congressional Representative from Florida's 23rd District. Canova focuses on Wasserman-Schultz' local record, points out that she is not doing a good job of representing residents in her district in south Florida, that she supports the interests and sides with big corporations and Wall Street, and he says she has many critics in the area.

Canova claims the Congresswoman's support for corporations and voting the interests of Wall Street include: the TPP and fast track, taking money from and supporting privatized prisons, opposing medical marijuana, voting for Wall Street in preventing consumer protections and regulation of pay day loans and racial discrimination in car loans.

As Democratic National Committee Chair on the national level, Wasserman-Schultz is viewed by many as turning the Democratic organization into a glorified arm of the Hillary Clinton campaign and restricting media exposure for Democratic candidates Sanders and O'Malley by having only six Democratic Presidential Debates adversely scheduled on weekends and holidays.

During Wasserman-Schultz' DNC role the Democratic Party also lost a staggering number of seats nationally and on the state and local level esp. election years 2010 and 2014. Will the FL Congresswoman and DNC Chair's unpopularity factor into losing her Florida US Congressional seat? Canova believes the current wave of populism is the future. If you want to help his grassroots campaign that's not taking corporate funds visit his website, Tim Canova for Congress.

5. RT lol. They employed a neo-Nazi as a host and "expert" until they got caught

It's a fascist news service with a not-very-hidden agenda paid for by Putin. Why do you keep linking to it?

8. not so "selectively" that you exclude Ru$$ian Fa$cism

cope with that.

Why, is you're so supposedly selective, are you a proponent of a fascist gov's propaganda network?
Doesn't it just mean you are pushing Putin and his fucked up agenda?

15. your NO means YES, apparently

You are a proponent of a fascist gov's propaganda network when you constantly post links to it. You are pushing Putin and his fucked up agenda when you do that.

Why are you pushing a fake-progressive channel with a not-very-hidden fa$cist propaganda agenda?

RT Host Manuel Ochsenreiter Exposed as Neo-Nazi Editor

A regular German host for the Kremlin-funded RT news outlets has been exposed as the editor of a neo-Nazi revisionist magazine.

Manuel Ochsenreiter, who has appeared on the English-language channel for the past four years as an expert on German and Middle Eastern affairs, is the editor of Zuerst!, a radical right-wing monthly magazine, which pledges to "serve German not foreign interests" and preserve "German ethnical identity" against "de-nazification".

Zuerst!'s former publisher was the Bauer Media group, Germany's largest magazine publisher, which came under a storm after evidence was uncovered that many of its magazines were glorifying Nazism and Adolf Hitler's soldiers, polishing the image of the Third Reich in popular culture.

13. OOPS

http://www.alternet.org/story/154366/thom_hartmann's_unusual_approach_to_progressive_media_nets_big_audience_without_big_names

Hartmann is a bit defensive about the fact that this is where his program airs, but he labors to make clear the particulars of his relationship with the network. He owns his program, and RT has no editorial say in its content. RT gets an hour of nightly programming from him, and Hartmann in turn gets his show on cable systems across the country. He also gets to use RT's Washington facilities to produce the show.
