How can people be so cruel?! We are loosing our humanity by commodifying everything. All the joy of life and being a part of it all is lost.

Where is the love?

This kind of thing is why I won't eat meat of any kind. The abuse is incredibly upsetting to the point I can't eat it. I felt as if I was ingesting the fear and sadness that these creatures went through.

Does it make any sense that I could possibly hunt and eat meat that way? It would certainly help my feelings on this, but I don't hunt, so gave up meat entirely.

My brother gave me a movie named "Baraka" that shook me. If anyone has watched that, you know what I mean. It is beautiful and harsh at the same time.

Ever since I saw the bootleg video of those poor cows getting shocked with a cattle prod because they were too sick to go and be slaughtered, I have refused to participate in eating meat.

Human arrogance disgusts me.

for fryers and the hens would kept for layers.

But with factory farms you get a lot of inhumane practices for expediency sake. Animals are not like inanimate objects and so the cruelty is built into the system of farming.

What do you want? Cheap food or humane practices. It seems we prefer the cheap, cheap food over anything else.

I may manage to watch the remainder later on, when I've steeled myself.

Had to find any words at the moment.
