DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz interviewed on CNN
She was asked by Dana Bash: (at 4:35)
"Do you believe that Bernie Sanders could beat any Republican?"
It took her awhile to answer, while she described the contrast of the GOP candidates trying to out-Trump each other, but she eventually reached a" ...Yes... I think any of the candidates on our side of the aisle, who are talking about job creation, making sure we can expand access to healthcare, build the cornerstones of the middle class life by helping people get a good education and having a secure retirement... any one of our candidates will be chosen and eventually elected as the 45th President of the United States of America. . . because of that contrast."

(6,699 posts)This is sad. She is a slippery, political hack; and I believe we need a change at the top for head of the DNC.
I realize being political is a prerequisite, but someone who actually has ideas and energy to advance the party would be a welcome improvement!

She gets almost as much air time as the challengers to Hillary will get in the 1st debate and she says nothing.

(1,782 posts)CNN would have one toxic, destroyed camera on its hands.
She glared for less than a second before she pulled herself together, deciding to make a question about Bernie not about Bernie, but about the Democratic party.

(12,882 posts)Yes CNN - we love your gracious accommodations. Now - please shut up while I neglect to deliver answers to your stupid questions and spew our party's pablum stump rhetoric. And sure.... if Joe wants in a week before the general, we'll find a way. Now, is there any other way you'd like to see me avoid letting the gentleman from Vermont's name cross my lips?
