2. Supply and demand is not the only thing that can fix the system.
A not for profit drug maker could fix it good...but the myth of capitalism and the virtues of the profit motive is always with us.

3. I think he made a very good case how the
rules affect the supply of the drug which then led to the potential for higher prices. Sometimes I wonder why drug prices are not behaving like flat screen prices. There technology improves while price decreases. There is such a healthy competition among TV makers that the prices for the equivalent technology and quality TV go down year after year even with inflation.
You look into it and you see one big problem, one has a bottle neck in the entry and approval of the final product and the other doesn't |

7. Yes he did make the case.
But that only points to the corruption we see in our capitalism...and it is inevitable in a system that thinks that greed is good. and that greed is the only motivating factor in progress.
The side effects of such values is that the greedy do well and when they get power they control the market...and we have seen this play out in history over and over again. We are at the point now where the greedy have amassed such wealth that they own and control the functions of government...whether it is the FDA or the EPA or the MIC they can call the shots. |

5. Enact price controls on all pharmaceutical products!
We cannot trust anything heard on CBS. CBS is as bad as MSNBC and NPR.

6. That is a bullshit headline.
Of course it's capitalism. That's what the system does.
