Instead, the protesters and a handful of other members of the public were told that the room was at capacity, so they were escorted to a private room where they watched the event on a monitor. After Clinton finished speaking, she did meet with the protesters for about 15 minutes, and this is where things start to get a little hazy.
According to the Clinton campaign, the Black Lives Matter protesters asked that the media not be allowed in the room during the meeting, a sharp contrast from the groups very public confrontations between Bernie Sanders and Martin OMalley. However, the protesters later told CNN that this was not the case they were asked by the Clinton campaign if they wanted a picture with the candidate, to which they said no, and that it was the decision of the campaign to not bring in members of the media.

(14,173 posts)Barring them from getting into the speech room, then getting a 15 minute private talk to show empathy and sympathy for their cause and give platitudes about how she is on their side etc...
Meanwhile it was her husband, and herself agreeing, with those harsh penalties that disproportionately affected black Americans. Something she has never recanted. If anyone deserved to be interpreted and heckled by the black community it was her, not Bernie.
