Last Thursday night, American audiences tuned in to one of the craziest reality TV competitions in history. Ten contestants stood at podiums in front of a brain-dead right-wing audience and spewed nonsense about how they would save America from the evil democrats.

Round one is over. And the lunacy has only just begun.
