Beltway Dem Talking Point: No One Will Vote for Bernie Except Educated Progressives - FALSE!

Published Aug. 6, 2015
Although both major Democratic candidates – Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton – are polling ahead of all their Republican opponents, neither one of these candidates will be able to win the election without the support of African Americans. But when you compare the two records, it's obvious which candidate is more concerned about the issues facing African Americans.

America’s Lawyer, Mike Papantonio, and author Hal Goodman discuss those records.

1. Will Anyone Vote For 1% WJC and HRC - Adjusted Gross Income 140 Million Since 2007

"Everyday Americans" Hillary And Bill Clinton Report $140 Million In Taxable Income Since 2007

http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-08-03/everyday-americans-hillary-and-bill-clinton-report-140-million-income-2007

Ever since Mitt Romney's tax disclosure fiasco in which allegations of tax avoidance and usage of offshore tax shelters played a major part in the democrat counter campaign, there has been great interest in the Adjusted Gross Income reported by presidential candidates. Which is why to avoid any surprises on the primary circuit, Hillary Clinton released the full data of her and Bill's tax income going back to 2007.

So without further ado, here is the Clinton family's adjusted gross income since 2007. The summary: $139.1 million in income since 2007, most of it thanks to speeches starting at $225,000 and going much higher.

And that is your "everyday Americans."

Snip ...

2. I don't think calling Hillary's supporters...

..."Hillary-bots" is productive. At all. If I were on the receiving end of that (i.e., if some liberal host were calling Bernie's supporters "Bernie-bots", I would tune it out. I'm guessing Hillary's supporters likewise would tune this out.

Also, the points made were a bit slap-dash. The real point to be made is that Bernie has been consistent in his positions, while Hillary has not. I.e. it's not only that Bernie is more progressive -- clearly he is; it's that he has not wavered in his positions, while Hillary has been all over the map on social issues. Which makes it all the more interesting that Bernie is being attacked on the social issues where he has been the strongest and most consistent, as compared to Hillary, who is being touted as stronger on the social issues, while in reality she has shifted with the sands.

Where Hillary HAS been consistent is in her support of the bankers and the war machine. I'll give her that.

7. If it were my show, I'd refrain from that moniker, but otherwise they ARE spot on.

I think the nation is fast understanding everything we are up against. Despite HRC's great resume, you can't represent the l% and claim you are for the 99%. She is no populist, sadly. I wish all dems were cut from the same cloth as Bernie, Warren & Grayson, but sadly they aren't. We KNOW them, and the country is catching on, judging by the crowds Bernie is attracting.

It is going to take a true champion of the people to represent our values and end this hijacking, and there is but one candidate capable of doing so, IMHO.

10. You have to remember this is a show, they are not delivering a speech to the masses, these are

off the cuff conversations. No, they aren't perfect, but it opens the door to real discourse & information for people to base their opinions on, just like you are doing. Yes, points can always be made better, guess we can do that too.

to educate the electorate? Come on, Democrats. Just give it a try this time.

6. It's very accurate.

Bernie's crowds are whiter than the crowds at University of Vermont hockey games.

11. Not for long, all this hoopla over BLM is opening the door for great conversations.

Funny how that works.

12. The crowd wasn't all white

In Portland, Oregon Sunday night.

Even on the stage, Bernie's new National Press Secretary, Symone Sanders is a black woman. Another speaker was a young Hispanic man from a farm workers union.

The audience was a beautiful mixure of all ages and colors.

To feel the energy from the myraid group was phenominal!
