8. This is why writing Science Fiction is so hard

You just can't keep up. Lots of books (including mine) have been written on the subject of AI gone wild. Johnny Depp just starred in a movie dealing with this topic. Terminator etc. deal with it.

And here it is.

The fascinating part, to me at least, is that there are innumerable works out there dealing with the dangers of autonomous, self aware machines (R.U.R. has to be over a century old) but the scientists go right on with this. Its not like the dangers haven't been taken seriously. Ask that guy from Tesla or that British theoretician. They'll tell you.

If they build this thing, if they haven't already, we'd better hope they build in an automatic shut down program at the same time.

No, this ain't satire.

I want that on the record before they take over, just to stay on their good side.

11. LOL

On the down side, as spy technology melds with ultra fast computing power, say goodbye forever for the notion of Privacy.

13. one word subsititution here:

"The story of the rise of the machine and the decline of man, which paradoxically coincided with his discovery of the wheel... and a warning that his brief dominance of this planet will probably end, because man tried to create computer in his own image."
