4. No thanks for Webb. He's more conservative than a lot of the conservatives.

Likes coal and what it brings. He's at the very bottom of my list. The only way I'd vote for him is if he were the only Democratic candidate on the ticket.

9. Jim, dear. This is a fresh approach.

http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017275952

That's Bernie's Wisconsin speech.

Do you seriously think that people are going to prefer your "fresh approach" to Bernie's?

Hard to imagine.

10. I agree Jim, our country does need a fresh approach.

One that is NOT guided by the conservative wing of the party to which you and Hillary belong, but rather a fresh approach that really IS a different direction. That's exactly why I support Bernie Sanders. Real "Change", not rhetorical 'change' this time around.

This is fucking confederate traitor who are hellbent on defending the "heritage" battle flag.

Mark my words, our so good media friends are going to make sure that Webb will receive more airtime platform than resurgent Bernie Sanders.

24. I doubt JW will have much traction.

Not many people (on TV or on the streets) are talking about him or have heard of him even with the announcement, he isn't very much funded, and he has questionable views (to put it politely) on an issue that is important to a large chunk of the Dem coalition. I'll be surprised if he makes it past the 1st debate.

14. I had to check the calendar to make sure...

It wasn’t April 1st.

I view GOP candidates such as Webb (who lets face it is a Republican in sheep’s clothing) as conducting a very public money grab. Oh well, a fool and his money are soon parted...

Sorry Webb, but you were better than the piece of trash you beat out on the repuKKKe ticket down there in Virginia, but you sure as heck aren't the answer for giving this country back to the people it should be serving. We don't need anyone more military minded than Hillary.
Go home...take a break....enjoy your place in time. You aren't the answer to anything but those repuKKKes who might decide to vote the "D ticket" if they can find one of their own with a "D" after the name. Not gonna happen...adios.

19. Finally, the Democrats have an answer to George Pataki!

Now we, too, have our long-out-of-office politician who's gotten bored with life in the private sector and is stepping forward to answer a call that no one else thinks is there.

OK, I'm kidding... but if the general election matchup is Pataki versus Webb, remember you heard it here first.

"heritage" end of the Confederate flag business, I will give him a miss.

IF he made it to the general, and was our candidate, I would hold my nose and vote for him.

33. I welcome Webb to the party

Like his policies or not, it's hard to argue that he doesn't constitute a second honest/genuine/authentic man in the discussion, and the more honesty we get the better. We have a huge honesty deficit in politics especially on the national level.

If he honestly thinks he can win, then, wow.

GOPers hate him and think he is a turncoat. Liberals and progressives do not and will not trust him. (He is a lot like George H. W.) and moderate dems and indies have folks that they actually support.
