Rick Santorum: Sweater vests 'gave me this power'http://www.latimes.com/news/politics/la-pn-santorum-sweater-vests-20120112,0,498009.story

Santorum, wearing a navy blue sweater vest with his name printed on the breast, chuckled, and let the audience know they could own one just like it. Then he launched into some history, at times drawing laughter, which is sometimes in short supply at campaign events. He wore a sweater vest, he explained, to an event in Iowa in which he performed particularly well. That event, he said, was one of the events that turned around his campaign in the Hawkeye State, helping him come in just eight votes behind front-runner Mitt Romney.

of Santorum. That is not what I was thinking.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temple_garment
A temple garment (also referred to as garments, or Mormon underwear)[1] is a type of underwear worn by members of some denominations of the Latter Day Saint movement, after they have taken part in the Endowment ceremony. Garments are worn both day and night and are required for any previously endowed adult to enter a temple.[2] The undergarments are viewed as a symbolic reminder of the covenants made in temple ceremonies, and are viewed as either a symbolic or literal source of protection from the evils of the world.[3]y

Republicans steadfastly support whatever they are saying at the moment. Only for a moment and the moment's gone.

Poor Santorum. All his dreams pass before his eyes, a curiosity.

All their past positions and policies crumble to the ground, though they refuse to see what damage they did to the nation.

As far as their old positions, they don't hang on, 'cause nothin' lasts forever, not even the Earth and sky because the rapture will come any day now.

Except tax cuts for the rich. That one they stick to.

Besides, it's obvious now that Romney isn't the worst Republican in the country. He whipped Santorum, didn't he?

(Okay, I grossed myself out with that one.)

Examples of forgiveness:
4: "Yet Santorum says that, in his words, "above all else, we both agree that President Obama must be defeated."

Yup, he's exactly right. "
12: "Wonder how all the santorum dead-enders will rationalize this. After all, they were the ones so enamored of their "principles" that they would "never ever" vote for Romney. Now, their Dear Leader has turned on the predictable dime. Hmm. We''ll see, won't we. ?"
34: "Yay Ricky! Proved I was right all along..."

Examples of booing:
11: "If he thinks this’ll get him the VP nod, he’s delusional."
24: "Another socialist with an R behind his name!"
32: "I am a big Rick supporter and this disappoints me quite a bit. I mean, Senator, if you are just going to endorse him in an email, c’mon ... why do it at all? Why does everyone cave?

Quite frankly, our only hope for the Conservative movement is if Romney loses. If he is voted into our camp ... it is over."

He is also dangerous. I have known fanatics of many stripes, I have rarely come across any individual that scares me as much as Santorum. Romney would be terrible for this Country, a disaster. Santorum though, in any cabinet position, would be a disaster of epic proportions, that man needs to be kept as far from the white house as possible. Adding him to the team would give Romney a significant boost with the die hard conservatives, especially the evangelicals.

It is a possibility, however remote, that Romney could select a VP like Santorum to shore up support from the more rabid right wingers. Given modern voting methods, I wouldn't be willing to bet that would lose him an election. Electronic voting machines? You know, five minutes to hack into to elect a drunken robot...
