(8,267 posts)Could you use a video to make your point that doesn't open with a sexist or salacious image?!
And, look: the first two responses are apparently from people with purient interest in an image that is demeaning to women. Why am I NOT surprised?

(8,267 posts)Guys who cannot celebrate the difference without resorting to demeaning comments seldom have fulfilling intimate relationships.

(5,016 posts)that they are attracted to pictures of scantily clad women.....
and your level of offensive dialogue is set so low that a man saying that he likes naked women would set off your offensive demeaning comment post, to me is over the top.....
Furthermore, you state "Could you use a video to make your point that doesn't open with a sexist or salacious image?!
And, look: the first two responses are apparently from people with purient interest in an image that is demeaning to women. "
My question is, what is sexist about a naked woman, or is the sexist part in your head......?

!!!
Sadly, you just don't get it. Given your defensive screed, I doubt that you ever will.
However, if you are honestly interested in "what is sexist about a naked woman," please read Getting Off: Pornography and the End of Masculinity, by Robert Jensen. Or, you might want to read Not for Sale: Feminists Resisting Prostitution and Pornography (Whisnant and Stark, Eds.). If you like Huff Post as a resource, you could look for Five Sexist Trends the Advertising World Just Can't Shake, by Alex Leo. An older, but classic, resource is Naomi Klein's The Beauty Myth.
Actually, you can probably Google 'sexism in advertising,' and net enough reading material to last a lifetime.
...hmm, wonder why?

(115,103 posts)for making the attempt to call this tiresome crap out.
It does seem futile, but it's important.
I agree, it does seem futile--at times. I despair at seeing sexism and misogyny on DU, but--since we've all been raised within the toxic socio-cultural construct called patriarchy--I guess I shouldn't be all that surprised.
The damages of power imbalance are richly illustrated in Marilyn French's Beyond Power: On Women, Men and Morals. Reading this book helped me clarify a BUNCH of things...

(5,016 posts)I find the naked human body to be beautiful and you find it to be sexist...
You jumped to pornography which is both disgusting and debasing to all who participate....
and I have not watched the video and was not drawn to watch it because of the naked woman.....
and, if you deny sexuality then you will get the sexist commercial nightmare that you have.....
maybe you could google sexuality and vive la difference.....

(8,267 posts)You do not warrant any more of my time or energy. Your assertions are disingenuous, and without merit. You may wear your sexism like a badge. Women will find you pitiable at best.
