(5,644 posts)they were playing 'Sweet Home Chicago' in the background when he came onto the set. And, I heard this morning on the news that they(the Obamas) were thinking about moving to New York when his presidency was over. New York now fits their vibe and their emotional tie to Chicago is not what it once was. As a Chicagoan, that's cool with me (no traffic tie-ups).
So I just need to say this to the President. If you are not coming back, keep your nose out of our business. We don't want Rahm here. if you love him so, take him with you....PLEASE!

(128,766 posts)the first thing that came to mind was how the sofa seats were so much lower than the host's desk when he was seated. I know that usually with these talk formats, you sometimes have that dichotomy, although most use chairs for the guests. But here, it was more obvious given President Obama's height.
Well wouldn't you know it.... one of the first thing's out of the Prez's mouth in the 2nd clip (apparently from the beginning of the show) was to ask "How come you're so much higher than me?" . Of course that lead to the D.C. MJ joke.

I'm on a little roll this morning. Stupid doof gets on my stinkin radio this morning frantic about radical Islam but that is not the biggest complaint of the people. The biggest complaint over the last 4 months
(since the election) is that government does not work.
Why send Republican sand into our government gears then? Muthafucker.
Ok. I'm going to go stew. I won't make any more waves.

(23,946 posts)What a refreshing break from The Stupid and The Insane that is somehow presented as an equivalence to this incredible man.
The traditional mass media is losing it's traditional grip on doing the thinking for the masses, and they not like it at all.
