It would be easy to conclude that the average awareness level in Germany and most of Europe is just a tad bit higher than in the U$A

From a German point of view, both of these videos (the OP´s and yours) are far from the German mainstream.
RT selectively edits to show most the communist-inspired protests, while the bulk of protestors comes from the German peace movement.
Ken Jebsen is the German version of a shrill right-winger – few here take him seriously...

And they believed Colin Powell when he held up a vial of anthrax

Does this mean anything?

Cass Sunstein (Obama’s former head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs) advocates that the Government’s stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups.” He also proposes that the Government make secret payments to so-called “independent” credible voices to bolster the Government’s messaging (on the ground that those who don’t believe government sources will be more inclined to listen to those who appear independent while secretly acting on behalf of the Government).

Yes, it means something: That Jebsen, in 2007, won a prize for journalism.
What it does not mean: That he still is a voice for moderate views.

If you read that Wikipedia article, read on about his career post-2007...
