Teacher/Bully: How My Son Was Humiliated and Tormented by his Teacher and Aide

This is NOT an easy video to watch. I was furious while watching it. It needs to be seen by as people as possible. Kind of long but well worth it.

And it's directed the most to those who have these kinds of disabilities and only want to get along. The problem is the heart of the people doing this, but the one who cannot speak for themselves gets the blame, always.

It is wonderful that this father was able to document what goes on in too many places. There are many wonderful teachers who love these kids and would never do this, but it really does happen, and it's a lot worse than what he describes because he was able to stop it early.

Best wishes and love to him and his son. This made me cry for all the kids suffering like this; some will grow up and the abuse will continue. If they can't be protected, more things come along to destroy them.

In my day I bullied some teachers, but not until they started it with me or with someone else.

If I were the parent, I would take a vacation day and sit with my child in the classroom all day. Just one day like that, and the teachers would be on their best behavior.

I have a several of friends who teach special education. They are the sweetest, best-natured people, especially people who are teachers, that I know. It's hard to believe that someone who is as nervous (sounds nervous from her voice) as this teacher would teach special education. It takes enormous patience, an enormous tolerance for frustration, even failure, wisdom, endurance and most of all a capacity to love that the average person does not have.

I am so sorry for the boy and his parents. I hope the teacher was replaced by a good, patient, kind teacher.

If I were the principal, I'd send her packing in about two seconds and I'd sure do everything I could to warn other schools about her.
