TYT: Tech Companies May Be Forced To Install Backdoors To Allow Government Spying

"Last week, British Prime Minister David Cameron incensed the Internet by proposing to ban secure messaging applications, like WhatsApp and Snapchat, unless they install backdoors to allow government spying. Plenty of other services, including Apple’s iMessage and FaceTime, might also run afoul of such a law, the Independent pointed out.

Cameron’s call for mandatory backdoors offended online privacy advocates, but it couldn’t have shocked them. This is the same leader who ignored censorship cries and installed porn filters on the country’s Internet services, with some rather predictable unintended consequences.” *

Ben Mankiewicz (What The Flick?! & Turner Classic Movies; http://www.twitter.com/BenMank77), Desi Doyen (Green News Report; http://www.twitter.com/greennewsreport) and Ana Kasparian (http://www.twitter.com/AnaKasparian) discuss.

That it could be done if not overdone...but down the slippery slope what is to prevent them from making the same argument that we should have the ability to see what is going on in the home because the Terrorist plot their evil schemes there...

Now we know what Orwell was talking about...Big Brother is watching you.

The trend of the state quietly breaking the trust and even breaking constitutional protections. Then use propaganda and persistence to break the will of people in order to eventually post-legalize the actions.

Democracy and constitutional protections are so heavily under attack that it is overwhelming and people's resistance atrophies if the state continues persistently.
