Those who are against the Keystone XL Pipeline seem to almost exclusively be dwelling on the carbon emissions / climate change aspect of it. Remember - those Republican goons and science deniers don't even believe that human caused climate change is real. What is far more immediate and undeniable, even to the most staunch climate change denier, is that the Keystone XL Pipeline would undoubtedly cause many and massive oil spills, and poison the Oglala Aquifer, which provides most of the drinking and agricultural water to the great American midwest. Heck, I saw on another video that up in Alberta, there are about two big oil spills every single day with the tar sands oil! So, a massive or significant oil spill from KXL is virtually inevitable. You don't have to even go as far as climate change to know that KXL would be total disaster for America. Any third grader will tell you that it's far more important to have water to drink, and food on the table, than it is to have oil, and gasoline for our cars.
As I was watching this video, I was constantly hoping that Bernie would bring up this obvious, immediate and undeniable down side of the Keystone XL Pipeline, but sadly, he never did.
