...but after watching this clip, I may need to rethink that. It is a miracle that no one was seriously injured.

Before watching it in slo-mo, it looked like there was a whole lot of hurt...glad there wasn't.

They were lucky.

whose girl friend was left to fend for herself, while all the guys ran off in terror. If I had been that girl and my bf left me to fend for myself, I would have kicked his ass and never spoken to him again!

and a half seconds.

Those people barely had time to recognize what was happening and just react--no one had time to help one another. They barely had time to help themselves.

The fact that no one was seriously injured was almost miraculous--and not due to anyone's actions. Maybe if the guys had been Superman and the women Lois Lane, the men could have somehow saved the women. Otherwise, I think you expect too much from any human being.

Check out the young woman in the pink jacket with the cream-colored scarf. She moves once and falls on her butt. Then she somehow manages to spring backward from her sitting position to avoid the flying car. A fraction of a second later, the rear end of the car SMASHES into the earth exactly where she'd been sitting. Her backward frog leap saved her life.

Just incredible.

(And for what it's worth, if that was you, Yui, sitting on the wall, I'd have grabbed you.)

What looks like a few yards is actually MUCH further back and the wall starts low and goes up at a VERY steep angle.

IOW: It wasn't as close a call as it first appears.
