As a Marxist and Syndicalist I love Wolff but I couldn't help but lol every time he mispronounced Chipotle. I wonder if he was doing that on purpose just to play the part of the adorable geriatric in order to endear himself to his audience or if he honestly doesn't know how to pronounce it correctly. Aside from that though he's a blast to watch as always.

That's the headline and should be stamped on the forehead of every idiot trumpeting the "economic recovery," "positive job growth," and every other BS headline of the DC propaganda mill supporting the low wage, low tax, low worker security, budget balancing, boneheads in the Democratic Party that think lies if told often enough trump reality... the only thing the Republicans apparently have taught Democrats about politics since Reagan. Free trade and low taxes and corporate welfare create good paying jobs for the people that "work hard and play by the rules," which is a Democrats' way of saying "white people." I am sick of this charade, sick of the code words, lies, and weasel words of every politician I listen to, not "nuance," cowardice.

The reality of the decline of America at the hands of the craven ass licking political parties of this country, sucking on the teats of Wall Street, MIC and Energy corporations of all stripes, while selling their constituencies to the highest bidder is rarely mentioned by the "media." Truly we are being sold down the river by our own institutions, by our own representatives, by liars, thieves and PR men posing as our friends. It is a rank betrayal and will cost us, as a country and society, dearly...

...it is always good to remember that American prosperity (as in other imperialist countries) was built on subjugation of other peoples and theft of their resources. There would, for example, likely be no "immigration problem" were it not for the fact that imperialist economic policies decimated other local economies and cultures. If our standard of living is suffering, it could be considered a leveling of the playing field, yet always with capitalism on top. Eventually I expect international consciousness and solidarity of working people to create a better world. One can hope, eh?

handle the accusation near the end of "unfair"ness better. It disturbed the flow and believability of the talk.

Wolff could have just quickly said, "We'll, suspend judgement on that point for the moment - I don't want to accuse anyone unfairly - and you and I can discuss it later if you like. See me after the talk", rather than get bogged down in a disruption.
