But you should hear what's just beneath my breath while I'm writing them. Of course, I'm not on radio so I don't have to worry about Kathy hitting the bleep button before the three-second delay has elapsed, as Mike does.

This is what I posted yesterday. The piece identifies what should be the nation's highest priority: Energy independence, which is to be achieved by supplanting (not supplementing) fossil fuels with renewable in the not-too-distant future. Probably the greatest obstacle to this goal is cutting through the steer manure with which the oligarchs pollute the airwaves: global warming is a hoax, what we call fossil fuels are really abiotic substances produced deep in the earth, capitalism is sacrosanct and, therefore, the common people are expected to sacrifice their needs and desires to the needs and desires of industrialists, financiers and the investor class and that there is no such thing as society because a human being is strictly a selfish, aggressive and territorial individual. It's steer manure. All of it. Nevertheless, taken together, these ideas are the myths that underpin American oligarchy and subvert democracy.

Elections are being rigged by the oligarchs. That means our only recourse will be to push back with a national campaign of mass civil disobedience aimed not at the political class, who are just stooges to the oligarchs, but at the oligarchs themselves.

Why should we do this? Because the survival of the great mass of humanity depends on it, because the survival of the Earth itself depends on it.
