Bill Maher on Charlie Rose: Islam v. Christianity on Condoning Violence

No stranger to controversy, Bill Maher compares the levels of acceptable violence in religion and comes to the conclusion that all religions are not created equal. Maher uses poll numbers to back up his statements.

I don't think blanket statements hold up to scrutiny, but it was interesting viewing.

as David Duke's opinions on racial minorities in the US.

3. Bill Maher. The comedian is a darling of liberals, but when it comes to Israel, the host of HBO’s “Real Time” is all for war.

Maher kicked up a storm of controversy over a Twitter message he sent that read: “Dealing w/ Hamas is like dealing w/ a crazy woman who’s trying to kill u — u can only hold her wrists so long before you have to slap her.”

On his show, he agreed with conservative guest, Daily Caller writer Jamie Weinstein, on the Gaza conflict. “If it’s your father, your brother, your uncle who’s firing those rockets into Israel, who’s fault is it really? Do you really expect the Israelis not to retaliate?” said Maher. He also got in a crude anti-Muslim joke. “Jews have, I think, 155 Nobel Prizes, Muslims have two. That seems like kind of a big advantage for team Hebrew.”

I've heard him say far worse, and often pro-violence, things against Muslims than this, such as, 'Muslims only know violence and the only way to deal with Muslims is with violence.'

He's a supporter of Israel's ethnic cleansing campaign against Muslims. He doesn't deny, but he supports the Palestinian Nakba that happened in 1947-1948. He's openly expressed that on his show.

"The Christians would never do that…." , in reference to Islamic violence. ???????

He needs to read up on 2,000 years of violent things the Christians have done.

He needs to learn about the great contributions to society that Arabs have made. That they held us all together for some 600 years in the fields of medicine, engineering, mathematics, and philosophy while the Christians were burning people and in general torturing people to death who didn't think like them. When the pope decided to attack the muslims to win back Jerusalem with a crusade they fought back. Why wouldn't they? This started the whole jihad mentality. Things have been downhill for them since.

Bill, you're liking the sound of your own voice on this one .
