(204,756 posts)She's such a refreshing change from the grandstanders, and she completely understands how regular people live. We need more like her representing us...

(11,833 posts)I wouldn't have seen this if it hadn't been posted here. So much good information. I will vote for Elizabeth Warren in the primaries if she runs for President. If she doesn't, I will support her in her efforts to raise the minimum wage, strengthen the middle class including the working poor, lower interest rates for student loans for college students, keep the Consumer Financial Protection Agency strong, and regulate banks and Wall Street to protect them from ruining themselves (and prevent them from asking us, the taxpayers to bail them out with no consequences to themselves). Folks, please watch these videos. She actually addresses all of these issues and more in them, in a way that a good teacher does that keeps you interested because you understand what she is discussing and helps you understand it too.

(57,936 posts)Elizabeth Warren for president, 2016. Just to make sure my message is not lost.
She has a great personality, cares about ordinary Americans and can appeal to Americans in every state and in every walk of life. She is the best choice for 2016.

(54,281 posts)I sure as hell wish she would go on national TV more often.
ALL the major networks plus MSNBC. Not Fox or National Hate Radio, of course, but NPR for sure.
The radical right will diss her, but won't concentrate their efforts on her if she is not running for national office.
I don't even think she'd accept Senate Majority Leader if it were offered to her, as it might impede her ability to speak out as openly as she did here.
But wow, when she speaks out, she does it with the double impact of both sincerity and reason. Having nothing to lose by speaking your mind is a huge liberator. Howard Dean found that out as soon as he was no longer a candidate for president. Karl Rove probably gloated when Howard dropped out of the race in 2004, but after he became DNC chair later that year, and went to work at successfully taking Congress back in 2006, and the White House in 2008, I don't think Rove was laughing at Howard any more.
As a Senator from Massachusetts with name recognition and national respect, I think Elizabeth Warren is doing a hell of a lot of good right where she is. The Republicans have no one of her caliber* and it must drive them bats.
*It must be noted that anyone of her caliber wouldn't BE a Republican in the first place, so my observation probably merits a big "DUH"

(3,910 posts)It's more than just what she says. It's how she says it. She sounds like she genuinely believes in the issues she talks about. Refreshing.
