Words of an enraged devastated father when called by politicians offering "condolences"

“I don’t care about your sympathy. I don’t give a s--- that you feel sorry for me,” Richard Martinez said during an extensive interview, his face flushed as tears rolled down his face. “Get to work and do something. I’ll tell the president the same thing if he calls me. Getting a call from a politician doesn’t impress me.”

some people say 'Well, this guy can say that kind of stuff and get away with it because his son was killed'. And all I can do is look at them astonished, until the words burst out of me. 'We can ALL say that! Stop being so afraid of saying what you really believe!'

Kind of says it all. The gun nuts (children with guns as Papantonio called them), the NRA, and the gun manufacturers get away with maintaining their agenda because too many people are genuinely afraid to speak out.

So much for America being strong. It would seem that the strong ones are the children with guns.

you have to talk to these wannbe aristocrats.

My favorite thing to say, and I have a number of times to the astonished faces of many an elected public servant,

"I don't know how you justify your income. You are costing me plenty and I get nothing for the expense. In my book, as a taxpayer, you're way overpaid and not worth the trouble I took to elect you! Now go do your job!"

I am impressed with this man and would love to be on his team, but in a way I already am. He should have an unbeatable team to help him in this battle... along with the team all the other bereaved parent should have.
