1. Midnight on Sunday night is really not the best time for this.

4. There is no best time for this.

But misdirection works all the time.

2. During the Olympics

When the excrement hit the ventilation device over that Coca Cola ad with America the Beautiful sung in different languages, I made mention of this experiment several times as it seemed to verify the results (although when I did this, I remember counting, "1 pass, 2 passes, 3 passes, 4 passes, what's with that?, 5 passes..." in that the whole foreign language thing pissed off conservatives so much that they didn't even notice the two gay dads and their daughter skating about halfway through the commercial.

5. If you noticed it the first time you are one of the few.

I did not notice it at all until it was pointed out.
But TV is all like that, misdirection and selling us things.

6. Notice what?

The you-know-what in the video above, or the gay dads in the Coca Cola ad?

11. Neither do I, but as soon as it aired, right-wing heads started exploding

And I found it online, noticed the two gay dads right off the bat and thought it was funny how right-wingers' were blinded by their English-only brand of hatred to not notice it. I had fun on Allan West's message board with the whole situation.

12. I think that is the intent.

Just like in this attention test it is to distract...and TV does that for them.
They piss off the right wing to insure they are fired up to vote...and they will.
And meanwhile the dems piss off their base so they won't vote...it is all in the game.

8. I didn't notice it as a moonwalking bear

I did notice it as a guy in a dark, furry suit.

3. This video is crap.

That bear wasn't moonwalking. I don't know what it was doing, but it certainly wasn't moonwalking.

10. As a cyclist, I've been there.

In cynical moments, I think that motorists are actively trying to kill us. I realize, however, that it's just inattention. Drivers see bicycles as colorful street decoration rather than as other vehicles.

For those of you who drive: The single most common mistake is underestimating cyclists' speed. Yes, in a traffic-free straightaway a car will go faster, but that doesn't mean we're immobile, and in traffic we may even be faster than a car. The worst accident I ever saw was in a group ride, going north on a two-way street. The driver of a southbound car made a left turn directly in front of us, either ignoring us completely or thinking that he could complete his turn before we reached the intersection. He was wrong. The lead cyclist swerved hard to try to avoid the car but couldn't quite make it and spent several days in the hospital.
