(2 posts)Long before we had Texans Ted Cruz or George Bush for that matter we had a much brash and bolder LBJ who ran circles around Cruz when it came to controlling each and everything political in the state of Texas and beyond. It was indeed that degree of power he held that caused JFK to pick him as a running mate even though he didn't embrace his politics. In a matter of speaking, LBJ got the last laugh as you might glean from the title of Roger Stone's new book: "The Man Who Killed Kennedy - The Case against LBJ." Formerly a lifelong Republican, Stone had a particularly clear vantage point having been an aide for Richard Nixon. It would seem that now that Stone has switched affiliations and become a Libertarian he is also willing to spill the beans about certain secrets he learned from Tricky Dick and company. Today's politicians can learn a lot from the Machiavellian techniques of their predecessors.

(4,695 posts)October 1, Democrats will be telling the truth and straightening out the misconceptions of Perry, Cruz and TEAbilly donors. By the end of the day, even Right Wingers will be going to the federal government sites to look into The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, while Cruz is eating his green eggs and Crow (ham).
In my opinion, we have just seen the first 2016 Republican Primary Debate.
