Camp Lejeune Documentary Debuts Friday

"Semper Fi: Always Faithful," a documentary featuring former Winter Haven resident Mike Partain, makes its television debut Friday at 10 p.m. on MSNBC.

The documentary explores the controversy over the decades-long contamination of drinking water at Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina.

Partain, who was born at Camp Lejeune, has been one of the advocates leading a push for expanded benefits to Marines, family members and employees who lived or worked at the base during the period of contamination. The one-hour program is hosted by Lawrence O'Donnell of MSNBC's "The Last Word."

And my brother was station there and lived on base when my sister-in-law was pregnant with my nephew. Both have had strange illnesses and other health problems.
