I'm envying you for tonight. It's been many years since I've done the St. Paddy's Day celebrations. But my son turns the big 21 in May. So, next year, St. Paddy's Day is gonna be big in this household!

Have seen them multiple times. Big venues, small venues, with my kids, with my mother (over 80 yo).

Stood in ankle deep water inside a tent during an all day rain. Have spoken with Davey and Leo.

These guys can put on a show.

They played as a warm-up act before President Obama took the stage on O'Connell street in downtown Dublin.

Stone walls and the grass is green.

Waking Ned Devine is also quite nice and funny.

Check out "The Guard" as well with Don Cheadle. It's a good one.

one of the GREATEST. And they do have the first place in my heart, being the first Irish group I ever heard when I was a tiny tiny tot. The UNICORN song might be one of the first Irish songs many of us who were young 'uns in the '60 ever heard.

They've been in business for 50 -- count 'em - 50 years! And Paddy Maloney puts on the best, the most delightfully diverse shows of any talent in the music industry. At Kennedy Center last night I saw him, the remaining original members of the group, a full orchestra, a troupe of dancers, a choir, and some of the finest additional musical talent -- from Nashville -- ever together in one place and I was awed, knocked out, sent to heaven and back from it all.

So, definitely, the Chieftains are the best -- in a class by themselves.

50 Years down and decades still to go!
