Sounds of the sea: Listening online to the ocean floor

Satellite photos used to be for military eyes only, but Google Earth changed all that. Now something similar is happening to the ocean depths, with any web user able to listen in and "surf the sea floor" - and the US Navy is not happy.

If you're PC understands 'what you hear' all you need is a free 'but good' audeo editor such as Audacity. After a few minuts of learning how to use it you can just copy and paste. If you can trape one segment WMP can loope it for you.
Even more fun. If you can 'trap' 'whale songs' from the internet, you can wander around and collect 'whale song' to you're heart's content, then combine the collected songs into a suite. (Pre SOPA).
Also check out whalesong.net. They have bunches of neet 'song'.

That is why they do not want Canada to release US Naval sounds. Since there is no cold war anymore, Soviets are not a threat and Al Qaeda does not have the resources to launch a nuclear sub.
