Snowden's lawyer : ˜He fears torture, execution

Following the official asylum petition by Edward Snowden to the Russian authorities, RT interviewed Lawyer Anatoly Kucherena who consults Snowden. He has explained to RT the intricacies of the Russian asylum process.

Kucherena elaborated on the personal motivation of Edward Snowden's petition and highlighted the legality of such a request. He stressed that the Russian decision to review the asylum request was based on the human rights aspect of the issue.

We do have a history of torture and execution, we just don't do it out in the open.

Is America NOW a country that tortures? Under the Bush administration it did, does America now torture, no.

Is a "kill list" something that we "now" have (as in all of a sudden), or that we have always had?

And as for your claim that we are NOW denying American citizens "due process" ... I repeat ... "Don't forget the internment camps", because there were a lot more Americans being denied due process "then", than there are "now".
