(48,181 posts)Then feel free to whine away in follow up posts. Of course your individual posts can be hidden, but they will not be breaking the "no ops that whine about du" rule.

(2,431 posts)In fact, you're insulting them. I think it is, as currently posted, against DU community standards. Change it.
muriel_volestrangler
(101,295 posts)if it wasn't so obvious that you'd been insulting. Or that you regard having your insults pointed out to you as 'bullying'.
I get the impression you regard anything that contradicts what you say as 'bullying'.

(2,431 posts)I don't, when it suits my ends, dip into the playbook of office-politics and engage in the rewriting of history.
As far as "looking good," goes, I think consistency and integrity look fabulous.

(1,054 posts)The word "whining' is so fucking pejorative and EASY to apply to anyone's complaint or reasoned argument.
And these responses pretty much PROVE the OP's basic assertion.

(115,677 posts)Those replying are mostly Hosts who have been trying to work with this poster about being able to post the link without insults or turning it into Meta which Admin has said is now verboten.

(55,007 posts)it was originally posted in GD and was a truly whining about DU - the Meta Forum was closed and whining about DU is not permitted in OPs. A number of alerts were sent on that original thread in GD, after discussion and consensus was reached it was locked and the suggestion to repost WITHOUT the whining about DU sent to the poster. The whining was left in originally when it was reposted here.
Hosts are not trying to be assholes, they are going out of their way to let the interesting discussion about the topic happen, while following the SoP and the direct instructions of the site-owners to lock down meta-type OPs that consist of whining about the site.
OP's behavior is another matter.
yoyossarian
(1,054 posts)Yes. Discussing anything problematic on DU is whining. Yes, Kali. You are SO right, now that you've repeated it enough times, I see that clearly now...
This whole site is just a bunch of whiners complaining about stuff they should just be quiet about.
And the occasional well-entrenched troll.
Kali
(55,007 posts)I thought you calling everybody assholes was way more pejorative than me discussing the WHAT the issue was.
Have a nice day!

(47,209 posts)Pejorative my ass(hole). LOL.

(38,437 posts)... and then agrees that the OP is a complaint about DU? Maybe, but it's clear the author has no point than to call out someone who was mean.
This is a strange, worthless thread.
muriel_volestrangler
(101,295 posts)so that was the reason their first OP in GD was locked. And people felt the original form it was reposted here was similarly against the SoP. Inevitably, it's going to be used frequently when people feel the OP breaks the SoP.

Both sides of these two issues in particular attract the most viscous replies both directions.
