Retired general: Sen. Tom Cotton couldn't be more wrong.

Republican Sen. Tom Cotton wrote an op-ed for The New York Times that called for the U.S. military to be deployed in cities across the country to help restore order. Retired Gen. Wesley Clark weighs in saying, "What Tom Cotton is proposing is way out of line with the situation."

1. Sure there are assholes in every organization,

and the military is no exception, but the vast majority of senior officers take their jobs and their duties and their oaths very seriously.

They are also very much aware of the reg against obeying illegal orders. I don't know if there's a plan here, but what I think I'm seeing is a warning: don't order us to do anything illegal.

3. Looks like it may be a warning.

Trump Loses the Military.

'Over the last twenty-four hours we have seen something extraordinary, but with a precedent. Military brass, both retired and active, have taken the side of the Constitution and now refuse to deploy internally.'>>>

2. Tom Cotton is a dangerous, power-hungry fascist

Shame on the New York Times for giving him a national platform
