Clint Eastwood ditches Donald Trump for Mike Bloomberg in 2020 election.

((I'm not keen on 'celebrity' endorsements, and surely not eastwood, but think this is interesting, especially vis a vis movement of the repug 'base.'))

'Longtime Republican Clint Eastwood is pulling support from Donald Trump in the 2020 election. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, the actor-director signaled that he thinks a different candidate would be the better choice.

“The best thing we could do is just get Mike Bloomberg in there,” he said.

After endorsing Mitt Romney and famously delivering a speech at the 2012 Republican National Convention to an empty chair that represented Barack Obama, Eastwood never officially backed Trump. In a 2016 interview, he expressed displeasure with Trump and Hillary Clinton, saying there’s “much funny business on both sides of the aisle.”'>>>

2. I couldn't care less what Hollywood elites think....

People used to care what Weinstein think, all the while they knew his predilections. To hell with Eastwood, Swift, Behar, Streisand, Madonna, or any of them!

3. It really pisses Clint off how bad Trump

makes rich guys look. I guess he now envisions that empty chair having a stack of cash on it.

4. Maybe the chair got a chance to speak.

Or Bloomberg made his day.

Any celebrity who endorses the Swamp Thing would be "box office poison" to just over 66 million (and counting) voters. That poison is proven by how many of the #MeToo culprits have been unemployed, plus cretins like Roseanne who have also been scarce.

The fossil is still directing movies and doesn't want to be another Mel Gibson, where folks won't be buying tickets to see his product.

See. Evolution isn't a hoax after all. Now where's that orangutan?

5. I'm not sure what this says about Clint as much as what it says about Bloomberg.

7. This exemplifies perfectly why Bloomberg is a losing proposition.
