Ann Romney explains dog on roof: ‘He had the runs’

“The dog loved it,” she said. “Once, he — we traveled all the time and he — he ate the turkey on the counter. I mean, he had the runs.”

“But — he would see that crate and, you know, he would, like, go crazy because he was going with us on vacation. It was to me a kinder thing to bring him along than to leave him in the kennel for two weeks, so.”

In a statement released Tuesday, Dogs Against Romney creator Scott Crider admitted he was “stunned” that Romney only regretted the incident because “the attention it’s received.”

“We continue to be stunned — and disappointed — by Mitt Romney,” Crider said.

to make sure they don't sound like the callous fuckwads they are.

You'd think by now the Romneys would know to never EVER go off script.
