TV-Watching Trump Increasingly Affected By Bloomberg's Ad Blitz

For those working on President Donald Trumps re-election campaign, the volatility of the Democrats nomination process has been seen generally as a good omen so far. But there are signs that the president is becoming increasingly concerned about the aggressive advertising spending being undertaken by former New York City Mayor Michael Bloombergs campaign.
A report from Politico shows that Bloombergs advertising blitz which has already included more than $250 million in spending in his campaign for the Democratic nomination might be getting under Trumps skin. According to insiders, Trump spends much of his day watching news programs, and it is during these shows that Bloombergs ad spots frequently appear. One insider said that the president has seemed particularly focused on the former mayor since January, often discussing Bloombergs growing campaign staff and ad spending.
Both men notably went head to head earlier this month when each spent $10 million on advertising time during the Super Bowl.
Some of those who spoke with Politico said Trumps increasingly paying attention to Bloomberg not because hes worried about him as a political opponent, but because hes very reactive to what he sees [on TV] and the fact that Bloombergs ads are all over.

(17,003 posts)They are hard hitting, edgy and personal. Im sure knowing its making Twitler nuts puts a smile on his face. He has the money to keep this up until the election even if he doesnt get the nomination. I hope he does.

(11,581 posts)...for DT! He looks like he is so close sometimes and I don't think Putin and he planned on Bloomberg.
Try to visualize him clutching his heart, staggering around, and then keeling over. I also enjoy the mental picture of him just completely losing it and not being able to speak properly. I know, I know--his base will just say he is speaking in tongues, but the men in white coats will come and wrap him in a straightjacket. I am quite sure you have a few mental pictures of him imploding as well

(46,038 posts)He knows Trump and knows how to get to him. I wonder if they're going to start manufacturing dirt on Bloomberg.
I understand Bloomberg has promised to support the Dem candidate if he doesn't win the primary. Good on him for that, too.

(30,613 posts)Craft the ads specifically to make Pres. Turd spin in circles, froth at the mouth, and flop around on the floor apoplectically. Hmm, now that I think of it, would anybody notice?
