In Denmark, Harsh New Laws for Immigrant ‘Ghettos’
By Ellen Barry and Martin Selsoe Sorensen
July 1, 2018

COPENHAGEN — When Rokhaia Naassan gives birth in the coming days, she and her baby boy will enter a new category in the eyes of Danish law. Because she lives in a low-income immigrant neighborhood described by the government as a “ghetto,” Rokhaia will be what the Danish newspapers call a “ghetto parent” and he will be a “ghetto child.”

Starting at the age of 1, “ghetto children” must be separated from their families for at least 25 hours a week, not including nap time, for mandatory instruction in “Danish values,” including the traditions of Christmas and Easter, and Danish language. Noncompliance could result in a stoppage of welfare payments. Other Danish citizens are free to choose whether to enroll children in preschool up to the age of six.

Denmark’s government is introducing a new set of laws to regulate life in 25 low-income and heavily Muslim enclaves, saying that if families there do not willingly merge into the country’s mainstream, they should be compelled.

For decades, integrating immigrants has posed a thorny challenge to the Danish model, intended to serve a small, homogeneous population. Leaders are focusing their ire on urban neighborhoods where immigrants, some of them placed there by the government, live in dense concentrations with high rates of unemployment and gang violence.

and children should become valuable citizens and fully integrated evn if less likely for parents. It’s probably the the most humane and logical program of its kind I’ve ever heard of. I think it is very important that the children have a choice and dont need to follow islam just because of their parents; let the welcoming country integrate them into society as if the were born there. The families should start new life entirely in the new country and forgo their traditions as part of refugee acceptance deal. They are fleeing from third world hell into highly developed and civilized society. This could become a blueprint for EU that is a great compramise. The most important to people of european countries is that their culture and traditions are preserved. If migrants are agreeing to forgo their past life and become fully integrated members of society, it will benefit everyone. No one wants Denmark to become a majority muslim country. Politicians are also to blame for not doing this from the start and inflicting extreme nationalist sentiments across Europe.

Forget those silly fears, brother.

Right now we are around 96 percent outside the Islamic faith in Denmark. Only one out of ten Muslims goes to the Mosque - which is about the same as for Christians. Muslims have absolutely zero political power in Denmark, since they have no common agenda.

On the other hand, Denmark has another minority group with much bigger social problems. This group are in front with praising beating of children, and also with opposing gay rights. They like to get capital punishment in Denmark, and prefer one strong leader and a big army more than democracy.

Support from this groups is necessary for the ruling parties now in power. And that is why any BS exercise in pissing on selected minority groups are put into law. Sounds familiar?

These people are the voters of Danish People's Party - the right wingers of Denmark. The nutters of the Danish People's Party are now getting up to 15 percent of the votes, based on spreading fear with unsupported stories about a Muslim majority soon to come. THAT is scary!
