Mexico student who crosses border every day will graduate with honors

Students in one part of New Mexico are crossing the border from Mexico every day to go to school. They have to wake up extra early and often get home late at night.

One student said it’s worth it for a shot at an American education.

Porter Howard is a senior at Deming High School. He lives in Palomas, Mexico, with his mom who can't travel to the United States.

He’s been crossing the border alone to go to school since he was in kindergarten.
