Canada murder case prompts rival crowdfunding campaigns for killer and victim's family

After an all-white jury cleared a white farmer of murdering a young First Nations man, competing crowdfunding pages have underlined the persistent racial divide in Canada’s prairies.

Gerald Stanley, 66, was acquitted on Friday of murdering Colten Boushie, 22, from Saskatchewan’s Red Pheasant First Nation, in a verdict which provoked fresh criticism of the way Canada’s justice system handles cases involving indigenous people.

2. looks like similar problem as in the US . white people that can't deal with demographic changes

and losing privilege.

3. These are not recent demographic changes

In fact the most recent immigrants are the non-Indigenous People.

4. yes, but i'm referring to the white people there as being the ones that can't deal with it

the article said that the population of whites in that area has been decreasing and the indigenous increasing.
