Lindsey Graham jokes about how to get away with murdering Ted Cruz

*So that's where they're at now, suggesting a US Senator is so hated you might get away with murder?

2/26/2016

(CNN)South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsey Graham thinks his party has gone "bats---" crazy, and joked Thursday that it's possible to get away with murdering Ted Cruz if it happened in the Senate.

"If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate, and the trial was in the Senate, nobody would convict you," the former presidential candidate said at the Washington Press Club Foundation's 72nd Congressional Dinner, referencing the Texas senator's unpopular reputation on Capitol Hill.

CNN has reached out to Cruz's presidential campaign for comment.

While Graham teased Democrats and other politicians in the room -- at one point turning to House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi and asking her not leave to leave for the sake of his own party -- he focused his roast on the 2016 election and the GOP field, in which he formerly participated.

"The most dishonest person in America is a woman who is about to be president, that can get me. My party's gone bats--- crazy," the Palmetto State Republican told the crowd.

The South Carolina senator acknowledged his own unsuccessful presidential campaign and the concurrent timing of his remarks alongside CNN's Republican debate.

3. Jury Results
Fri Feb 26, 2016, 10:02 PM
Feb 2016
Juror #1 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #2 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: Alerted appears to be unaware that Senator Lindsey Graham is male. Alert makes no sense as this is not a homophobic post. Eye roll for ignoring male pronouns in post. Leave it.
Juror #3 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Alerter, when you're right, you're right. DU is no place for homophobic smears or homophobic "humor."
Juror #4 voted to LEAVE IT ALONE
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #5 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: I had to Google the gay angle about Graham because I was unaware of the rumors. However, I vote to hide because if this were a post about a female just needing to "find love and comfort from a very good man," it would piss me off. Add the homophobic angle, and it's more offensive. Hide.
Juror #6 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: No explanation given
Juror #7 voted to HIDE IT
Explanation: Agree with Alerter - El Bryanto

Juror 2: There is not a single pronoun in that post. Besides that, suggesting romance or sex would fix a Senator of any gender is ridiculous, especially when the Senator is suggesting what Graham suggested.

hidden post. In the case of a hide, I usually post them in a reply to the thread, but they seemed to go better with your reprimand. Amazing that some people will not vote hide on a clear violation of the TOS, but will hide because of a political disagreement. Fun in the big city.

interpret that remark? The OP is about how I believe the rhetoric of the GOP is
in dark waters..the irony being Graham in this case presents himself as the
dignified establishment all the while joking about a Senators murder...ha ha but not funny.

I think they're so off the charts wacked but someone felt the need to make a comment
that he needed a loving woman.

I stand by my earlier statement on the matter...a jury agreed.

12. If you killed Ted Cruz on the floor of the Senate

Now that Lindsey Graham jokes about how to get away with murdering Ted Cruz in the Senate, I guess the standards have changed in political rhetoric compared to blog posting. So making a generalization should not be condemned here, or would it…

Seems extraordinary were a public prominent figure like Graham being a presidential potential can say such extreme comments which could reflect into the public sector in copy-cat actions appears not only risky yet encouraging murder is insane.

Then it would not be offensive to say, with a joke, there are those that despise the current political congressional circle without bias to party to decapitate their heads, place them on stick, and display them along Pennsylvania avenue. If that offends I apologize, yet sometimes it must be done to make a point.

Is Graham saying to eliminate Cruz in the most severe way, bat-shit crazy is common to many political situations especially war torture and bailout handouts. Cruz is another Bush.

Did anyone ever see that movie called “Shooter” that Hollywood theater is planting the seed of political decent as the current genre that political decent is reflected in society by our young in singularity or mass murder.

Graham the joker gone wild…Joking about murder and politics on the floor of the Senate; the new terror of our age is upon us.

to be the example of statesmen like conduct when pointing a finger at the "crazy" in his party WHILE speaking
just like Trump did about a month ago..paraphrasing..I could shoot someone and get elected.

Great ideas to convey to people! They make me sick.

Poll: 38% of Florida voters believe Ted Cruz could be the Zodiac Killer

WASHINGTON, Feb. 26 (UPI) -- A poll by Public Policy Polling found that a surprising number of Florida voters believe Republican presidential candidate Ted Cruz could be the Zodiac Killer.

While a 62 percent majority of voters answered "No" when asked if they believed Cruz was responsible for the string of murders in the early 70s, 10 percent answered "Yes" and an additional 28 percent said they were unsure.

Several reports say the rumor stems from a speech Cruz delivered at the Conservative Political Action Conference in 2013 titled "This is the Zodiac Speaking" and has become popular again since he began his presidential campaign.

Public Policy Polling, a Democratic polling firm, asked the question relating to the bizarre Internet rumor after dedicating its inclusion "weird twitter", when asked if it would appear on their latest round of voter polls.
