Why would anyone want to own a Rebel flag?

... 2. Unabashed racism, sometimes partnered with a belief the wrong side won the Civil War ...

4. An unquenchable desire to point a long, protruding middle finger at a society overrun by liberals who think they are better than everyone else and can tell people what to do ...

Whenever the flag's devotees are asked about this, their response often reflects Number 4 with a frequent seasoning of Number 2. Whenever the response to a question about owning the flag runs along the lines of "None of you #&@% business,'' my already limited willingness to see their side is, shall we say, severely compromised ...

People who own them have the right. They also deserve all the hassle they get because they are announcing they don't care what anybody thinks ...

Lots of people are collectors and I can imagine there are flag collectors who would have collections of every flag that flew over the United States at every time in history. Of course the flags these people would desire would have real historical value with records authenticating their place in history. Likely they wouldn't display them from the front porch or in the back of a pickup truck.

Other than that I can't see any other reason- one thing when I see it displayed I know who I am dealing with, and that is good to know.
