Source: CSM

Practically speaking, that means gay couples legally married under state law now qualify for such federal benefits as Social Security and veterans' benefits. "With each new state where same-sex marriages are legally recognized, our nation moves closer to achieving of full equality for all Americans," Mr. Holder said in a statement. "We are acting as quickly as possible with agencies throughout the government to ensure that same-sex married couples in these states receive the fullest array of benefits allowable under federal law." Gay marriage recently became legal in Alaska, Arizona, Idaho, North Carolina, West Virginia and Wyoming – the six states Holder announced Saturday. More Americans treated equally under the Constitution. Republicans so hate when that happens.

3. Yes indeedy
Gods, when I remember the hair-pulling and anguished cries here during the first DAYS of this presidency ("under the bus! under the bus!"
![]() I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for an acknowledgement from the anguished ones, though. They've moved on to other causes for angst, and the years have bred a certain skepticism in me. Love is....Love. ![]() |

7. Soon gay marriage will be mandatory for everyone
it's a little known provision in Obamacare. Obama's gonna turn you gay! He learned this trick from Saul Alinsky's guide to socialism.
