Disney Legend, Robert Sherman, Dead at 86

Disney Legend, Robert Bernard Sherman passed away yesterday in London at the age of 86. He was one half of the multi-award winning songwriting team, the Sherman Brothers.

During Roberts long career he along with his brother Richard, received nine Academy Award nominations, winning two. He also received 2 Grammy Awards, 4 Grammy Award nominations, a Tony nomination, and 23 gold and platinum albums. He wrote more than 200 songs for 27 films and two dozen television productions. He also wrote music for a number of theme park attractions, including the Enchanted Tiki Room at Disneyland and Meet the World for Tokyo Disneyland.
