Gunman Headed to George Washington Campus: Secret Service

The U.S. Secret Service reported a man with a gun was headed from the White House toward the campus of George Washington University, according to the school.

Campus police said no one had arrived on campus by about 10 p.m., but they are on alert.

A school spokesman told WTOP that an emergency text was sent to students but the campus is not on lockdown. Students have been advised to remain on alert.

2. As I wouldn't call it a 'campus' exactly, I'd warn everyone in the general area,

people other than students, people visiting restaurants in the area, etc. Its a fairly large segment of downtown DC.
