Google Just Bought A Company That Builds Crazy Walking Robots For The Military
Source: SFGate
Google just bought Boston Dynamics, an engineering company that has designed mobile research robots for the Pentagon, reports The New York Times.
Boston Dynamics is based in Waltham, Mass.
The company creates "machines that walk with an uncanny sense of balance and even cheetahlike run faster than the fastest humans," says The Times.
Google is not saying how much money it paid for Boston Dynamics, and said that it does not plan to release financial information on any of the other eight robotics companies it has purchased in the last 6 months.

(10,274 posts)They have a long history of involvement with the government. The scum owners of google, own 747's as personal planes. They worked out a deal, with the government to park them at moffit field a naval air station run by NASA in mountain view california. They are the only billionaires allowed to park their planes there.
They also get their gas for these behemoth private planes subsidized by the tax payer. One wonders how google returns the favor to the government for this largess and subsidy of millions.
