Netanyahu: Israel Will Not ‘Abandon Our Fate’ To U.S. Strategic Interests

AFP Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Sunday that Israel cannot rely on any other country, even an ally, when it comes to facing up to the perceived nuclear threat from Iran.
We appreciate the efforts of the international community to halt Irans nuclear programme, Netanyahu said in a speech on the eve of Holocaust Day.
But at no stage will we abandon our fate into the hands of other countries, even our best friends, he said, in an apparent reference to the United States whose Secretary of State John Kerry flew in to Israel on Sunday.

(2,730 posts)Netanyahu think the same logic does not apply to his enemies? The whole scenario is hypocritical. on one hand, your country steal technology for nuclear weapons to gain an advantage while you thank the very allies that allowed you to. Everyone of these countries are guilty. There is no desire by none of them to reduce nuclear weapons but a desire to gain an edge. They all use human rights for cover to gain moral justification too. None of these countries will hesitate to use weapons of mass destruction to commit genocide on innocent populations. There is not one country stand on moral grounds period to justify it. Israel can start a War all they want, but it want be justified. The only way they can defeat a large country like Iran is to use weapons of mass destruction.
